Bottle-Top Vacuum Filter Units, PES Membrane, Sterile

Sterile, single-use bottle-top vacuum filter units designed for large-volume sterile filtration, clarification, and purification of cell culture media, biological fluids, buffers, and aqueous solutions. Each unit includes a PS (polystyrene) graduated funnel, a PES (polyethersulfone) membrane filter, and a PS collection bottle with a sterile PE cap – fully assembled and ready to use. The GL45-compatible neck adapter connects directly to standard plastic or glass media bottles with 45mm neck sizes, including most major brands. The three-stage hose connector accommodates multiple vacuum tubing diameters for simplified vacuum line attachment without adapters. Pore size markings on the color-coded collar ring allow quick identification and prevent mix-ups between 0.22µm and 0.45µm units. Sterile by gamma irradiation; certified non-pyrogenic, DNase-free, and RNase-free. Material conforms to USP Class VI standards. Individually packaged. Single-use only.

    DIMENSIONAL SPECIFICATIONS:
250mL unit: Membrane diameter 50mm, filtration area 19.6 cm², recommended for sample volumes <300mL 500mL unit: Membrane diameter 90mm, filtration area 64 cm², recommended for sample volumes 300-1000mL Operating vacuum pressure: -0.03 to -0.06 MPa Operating temperature: 25-30°C pH range: 1-13 Flow rate: up to 1200 mL/min (standard aqueous solutions); up to 833 mL/min (complex solutions) Bacterial retention (LRV): >7 at 0.22µm

COMMON APPLICATIONS: Sterile filtration of cell culture media, serum, and reagents (0.22µm); clarification and prefiltration of buffers and aqueous solutions (0.45µm); removal of bacteria and particulates from biological fluids; preparation of sterile solutions for tissue culture and bioprocessing; large-volume laboratory sample filtration.

USAGE NOTES: Use in a sterile biosafety cabinet or clean area and open packaging aseptically immediately before use. Maintain vacuum pressure between -0.03 and -0.06 MPa – excessive vacuum may cause foaming or membrane damage; if foaming occurs, reduce vacuum pressure. The GL45 neck adapter is compatible with most standard 45mm-neck media bottles. Do not use with strong organic solvents; PES membrane is optimized for aqueous and mildly polar biological solutions. Single-use only; do not reuse or re-sterilize. Discard after use in accordance with local biological waste disposal regulations.
