    Magnesium Fluoride (MgF₂) is an excellent optical material suitable for deep ultraviolet (DUV), vacuum ultraviolet (VUV), visible, and infrared applications. It is one of the most important low-refractive-index window materials and is widely used in UV and mid-infrared optical systems.

    Transmission Range: 130–10000 nm
    MgF₂ offers:
    High transmission in the UV region (down to 130 nm)
    Good transmission in the mid-IR region (3–10 µm)
    Low refractive index
    Excellent environmental stability
    Widely used as an IR optical window material
    Optical Performance (1 mm thickness typical)
    High transmission across UV–Visible–Near IR range.
