Product Overview
Magnesium Fluoride (MgF₂) is an optical material used for deep ultraviolet (DUV), vacuum ultraviolet (VUV), visible, and infrared applications. It is a low-refractive-index window material and is used in UV and mid-infrared optical systems.
Transmission Range: 130–10000 nm
MgF₂ offers:
Transmission in the UV region (down to 130 nm)
Transmission in the mid-IR region (3–10 µm)
Low refractive index
stability under the stated environmental conditions
used as an IR optical window material
Optical Properties (1 mm thickness typical)
Transmission across the UV–Visible–Near IR range.
