The Rotating Ring-Disc Electrode is a hydrodynamic working electrode for forced-convection voltammetry, available with either a male or female threaded mounting to suit common rotator shafts. Its concentric disc and ring geometry lets species generated at the disc be swept outward and detected at the ring within a single experiment, giving direct access to reaction products and intermediates under controlled mass transport.

Key Features

  • Concentric disc and ring working geometry
  • Male or female thread mounting options

Specifications

Configuration Female Thread
Configuration Male Thread

Ring-disc configurations are used to study reaction intermediates, determine collection efficiency, and probe oxygen-reduction, corrosion, and electrocatalysis processes, where controlled convection and detection of short-lived products at the ring are required.
