Langasite (LGS) crystal belongs to the trigonal system. It possesses high-temperature stability (no phase transition from room temperature up to its melting point), good piezoelectric properties, and low acoustic wave propagation loss. It is used in Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW) devices, Bulk Acoustic Wave (BAW) devices, and electro-optic Q-switches.
